the new chair…

So I’m bringing you on my journey to completing my living room with the addition of a chair. When I was asked by Homeware to take a look at some of their chairs I knew which one I would choose right away. I went back and forth between fabric swatches but ended up choosing Fog to bring some more texture and warmth into the room.
The chair arrived in record time and I put her together in record time as well. All by my 5 foot 2 self. More on that another time.
My daughter immediately sat on her and then named her. Meet Autumn…

The chair, not the season. Don’t let her name fool you though. She’ll look great in winter…

 and spring…

 and summer as well…

Homeware had so many great chairs to choose from but I loved the shape of this one. I loved the high back which is just perfect to lean your head against when curling up with a book. I love the nailhead trim as well as the curve of the arms.
I didn’t match the style of chair to any of my other furniture exactly. It has a timeless shape and could go with an ultra modern room as well as a more traditional one.

And true to my promise I let everyone sit on it. There is one chair in the living room which has been dubbed the “grown up chair.” It is light in color and is off limits.
Autumn on the other hand is not…
